Getting started with Scriba
What Scriba is, how to sign in, and what to open first.
Scriba is a reading-and-briefing desk for law students. You read cases in a plain, distraction-free panel, highlight passages, and Scriba drops them into a FIRAC brief with anchors back to the original text. Nothing you write is ever shared without your say-so.
Signing in
Sign in with Google from the login page. On first sign-in Scriba creates your profile, seeds a sample “1L Landmark Cases” course so you can see a finished brief end-to-end, and drops you on the dashboard.
What you see first
- A left sidebar with your courses and quick links (Import, Schedule, Assistant).
- A dashboard in the middle with this week’s readings, active briefs, and your streak.
- A footer with status, feedback, and the Help button.
Scriba is desktop-only. On a phone or narrow window you’ll see a hard block below 960px and a soft warning between 960–1024px.
